Mandatory Patch Update

Dear valued customer,

We are writing to advise you of a mandatory update of some components of your Right Hemisphere 4.x software. The main purpose of the update is to remedy a license code restriction which may affect the operation of these components after December 31, 2006.

This problem came to our attention only very recently and we have arranged for a resolution that will prevent any discontinuity in your use of the software by means of this update. This will affect only the products listed below. If you have concerns about the update, please contact Right Hemisphere support.

We apologize for the inconvenience as we understand this is a busy time of year for everyone, however we expect this update will require a minimum of effort on your part.

Note: This update does not apply to version 3.x software.

Installation Instructions

Deep Server 4.x Modules:

• CATIA4 update
• CATIA5 update
• CoreCAD update
• JT update
• XVL update
• Pro/E update
• SDRC I-DEAS update
• Unigraphics update

To install the patches for Deep Server 4.x:

1. Download your Module update(s) from the above list of Deep Server Module updates.
2. Double-click the install file to start the install process. Make sure the install path is correct during the installation process. Click finish to complete the installation.
3. Restart the Deep Server Processing Engine by following these steps:
a) Right-click My Computer and click Manage. The Computer Management console is displayed.
b) Choose Services and Applications > Services.
c) Right-click the 'Deep Server Processing Engine' service and click Start.

Deep Exploration CAD Edition 4.x Modules:

• JTPMI_DE update
• CADbase.x3d

To install the JTPMI_DE Module for Deep Exploration CAD Edition 4.x:

1. Download the JTPMI_DE Module from the above link to a location your computer.
2. Double-click to start the install process. Ensure the default installation path points to the appropriate program folder on your computer.
3. When the installation process finishes, the patch has been installed.

To install the cadbase.x3d for Deep Exploration CAD Edition 4.x:

1. Ensure that Deep Exploration is not running.
2. Download the cadbase.x3d zip file from the above link to a folder on your computer.
3. Copy the file to the Deep Exploration\plugins program folder. This will overwrite the existing cadbase.x3d
4. Start Deep Exploration and verify the correct version in the Plugin Manager. Correct version is: 4.1.30.1064.

To install patches for Deep Exploration v 4.x using Cortex and an Internet connection:

Note: If Cortex has automatically updated the above Modules after December 19th 2006, no further action is required. You can check this in Cortex > Deep Exploration 4.x > Modules tab > check the version column of the 'CADStart' (cadbase.x3d version 4.1.30.1064)

1. In Deep Exploration CAD select Help > Internet Updates
2. Click the "Update Now" button to initiate the update process. This will start an automatic update process. Make sure any firewalls or network proxy servers allow Deep Exploration to connect to the Internet.
3. Re-start Deep Exploration.
4. The updates are downloaded and installed.

Adobe Acrobat 3D Toolkit:

• JTPMI_3DToolkit.exe

To install the JTPMI_DE Module for Adobe Acrobat 3D Toolkit:

1. Download the JTPMI_3DToolkit Module from the above link to a location your computer.
2. Double-click to start the install process. Ensure the default installation path points to the appropriate program folder on your computer.
3. When the installation process finishes, the patch has been installed.
