Release Notes

These release notes describe and illustrate the features of this first release of the RH Import/Export Plugin for SOFTIMAGE|XSI. They address all issues related to the installation and use of this plugin.
Please note that this document may be updated as more information becomes available.
The plugin can be installed directly from the CD-ROM, or it can be downloaded and installed from the Right Hemisphere Web site. Before installing we advise closing SOFTIMAGE|XSI and all Right Hemisphere applications.
New Installations
To install the plugin from the CD-ROM:
1. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
2. Use Windows Explorer to locate the Setup.exe??? file.
3. Double-click the Setup.exe file to start the installation.
4. Follow the instructions as they appear on your screen.
Note: You must ensure the correct versions of SOFTIMAGE|XSI are selected.
5. Start SOFTIMAGE|XSI.
Existing Installations
To uninstall the plugin:
1. Start SOFTIMAGE|XSI.
2. Choose File > Plugins > Manager from the menu bar.
3. Select the Softimage check box.
4. Clear the RHImporterForXSI.dll check box in the Loaded column.
5. Click Close.
To uninstall the plugin:
1. Close SOFTIMAGE|XSI.
2. Delete the following files:
\Application\Plugins\RHImporterForxsi.dll
\Application\Plugins\dll\*.*
\Application\Plugins\dll\\Plugins*.*
Product Versions
Version numbers for the RH Import/Export Plugin for
SOFTIMAGE|XSI begin at release 3.5 in keeping with the Deep Exploration
family of products. The version number scheme is 1.2.3.4567 where:
1 = Major version indicator. This would be incremented for a major release.
2 = Minor release that indicates new feature release between major releases.
3 = Indicates a patch that includes fixes only.
4567 = Build number as an identification of the build that is released.
