3ds Max and Maya Connector Pack

These release notes describe and illustrate the features of this first release of the 3ds Max and Maya Connector Pack. They address all issues related to the installation and use of this group of plugins and files.
Please note that this document may be updated as more information becomes available.
3ds Max and Maya Connector Pack is a combined installer is used to install the 3ds Max and Maya Connector Pack to Adobe Acrobat 3D. It includes:
Plugin upgrades that enable you to import and save .ma and .mb files into Adobe Acrobat 3D, and to save to the .3ds and .obj formats from within Adobe Acrobat 3D. The versions of Maya that are currently supported are 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0.
The RH Import/Export Plugin for 3ds Max enables you to open .rh files in 3ds Max, and to save 3ds Max files to the .rh format for use in Adobe Acrobat 3D. Click here for further information and version support.
The RH Import/Export for Maya enables you to open .rh files in Maya, and to save Maya files to the .rh format for use in Adobe Acrobat 3D. Click here for further information and version support.
Fixed
There are no fixes for this first release of the 3ds Max and Maya Connector Pack.
Known Issues
The RH import/export plugins read from, and save to RH version 3.5 scenes only.
System Requirements
Minimum
3ds Max version 6.0, 7.0, or 8.0.
A copy of 3ds Max must be installed to view and save 3ds Max files.
A copy of Maya must be installed to view and save Maya files.
Installation
The pack can be downloaded and installed from the Right Hemisphere Web site. Before installing we advise closing 3ds Max, Maya, and all Right Hemisphere applications.
To install the pack from the Web site:
1. Download the executable file.
2. Use Windows Explorer to locate the executable file.
3. Double-click the executable file to start the installation.
4. Follow the instructions as they appear on your screen.
Product Versions
Version numbers for the 3ds Max and Maya Connector Pack begin at release 4.0 in keeping with the Deep Exploration family of products.
The version number scheme is 1.2.3.4567 where:
1 = Major version indicator. This would be incremented for a major release.
2 = Minor release that indicates new feature release between major releases.
3 = Indicates a patch that includes fixes only.
4567 = Build number as an identification of the build that is released.
