These release notes describe and illustrate the features of this latest release of the PDF Publishing Module for Deep Exploration CAD and Standard Editions and Acrobat 3D. They address any issues not discussed in the Help reference and they include information regarding installation.

3D
New PDF publish module using non-designer interface
The new PDF Publishing Module is used to save files to the Adobe Portable
Document (.pdf) format. Any 3D content contained within these files
is converted to the Universal 3D (.u3d) format.
The PDF Publishing Module is delivered with a number of 2D and 3D templates that can
be used to publish PDF documents.
You can create your own, or edit existing templates in Adobe Acrobat 3D and Acrobat Professional, by
using the new RH Acrobat Controls.

Deep Exploration CAD and Standard Editions
There are no fixes for this first release of the PDF Publishing Module for Deep Exploration CAD and Standard Editions.
Known Issues
Deep Exploration CAD and Standard Editions / Acrobat
3D
The RH format does not offer the same level of data compression.
Does not support non-uniform texture scaling and rotation.
Light attributes and orientation are not preserved.
Not all camera attributes are preserved. Targeted camera information is lost.
Does not support opacity animation, material color animation, skin and bone animation, ping pong animation.
Does not support PMI data tags and bill boarding.
Polygons can only be triangles. Quads are not supported.
RH format does not support NURBS.
Not all material properties are preserved (such as "specular level", "raytrace reflection" etc)
Only supports 3 types of textures: Diffuse, Reflection and Opacity. All other texture types are not supported.
Does not support non-uniform scaling in animation.
RH format does not support Morph.
Installation
Before installing PDF Publishing Module, we advise closing the application for which you are installing the module. That is, Deep Exploration or Acrobat 3D.
Right Hemisphere officially supports Acrobat 3D v8.1 for PDF Template Authoring, but previous versions of Acrobat Pro v7.08, 7.09, 8.0 and Acrobat 3D v7.08 and 7.09 may work for Template creation only. Viewing of all 5.0.2 published PDF content requires at the minimum the Free Adobe Reader 8.1 or Acrobat 3D v8.1 at this time.

The Help reference information is available from the Deep Exploration menu and by pressing F1 on your keyboard within Deep Exploration.
Product Versions
The version number scheme is 1.2.3.4567 where:
1 = Major version indicator. This would be incremented for a major release.
2 = Minor release that indicates new feature release between major releases.
3 = Indicates a patch that includes fixes only.
4567 = Build number as an identification of the build that is released.
