These release notes describe and illustrate the features of this latest release of Deep Publish. They address any issues not discussed in the Help reference or Readme documentation and they include information regarding installation.

Known Issues
OpenGL driver crash when drivers are significantly out of date.
Word files created with all previous versions of Deep Publish causes a crash. Will be fixed in 5.1.
Vector measurements with the dimension pulled to the left of object display backwards. Will be fixed in 5.1.
DWG and AI files not loading in Office applications (Image Mode and Interactive Mode). Will be fixed in 5.1.
Model views flash when updating a change to the background color. Will be fixed in 5.1.
PowerPoint crashes when exiting a document after inserting a 2d image when Interactive Mode has been activated. Will be fixed in 5.1.
Silent installer does not work for all upgrade scenarios. Please refer to the Right Hemisphere Knowledge Base
for further information.
To save content as embedded, rather than linked, in Office 2007 the user must select to save the document as a version ’97 – 2000 of the appropriate file type. This is an Office 2007 limitation.
Deep Publish upgrade is not removing previous version, result is duplicate Add/Remove entries.
Version 5.0.493 cannot be updated via Cortex if this was a first install. Please refer to the Right Hemisphere Deep Publish Download page

Installation
Before installing Deep Publish at any time, we advise closing all applications.
Sample models are available for use in Deep Publish. You can insert them into documents by choosing to insert from file and navigating to the Sample Models folder created as part of the Deep Publish installation.
Note: For users with Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system, you will require all of the latest Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system updates to be installed before installing Deep Publish 5.0. Without the required updates the Deep Publish 5.0 installer will fail.
Ensure that either the following file exists before the Deep Publish install is run....
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Right Hemisphere\temp\deeppublish.tmp
OR if it is easier, call Regsvr32 on these two files after Deep Publish has been installed :
regsvr32 [INSTALLDIR]\ExplorationXPublish.ocx
regsvr32 [INSTALLDIR]\plugins\officeadd.x3d
The second option is often a good fix in many situations where DP has installed but fails to launch.
Trial Period and Watermark
After installation, a 30-day trial period begins, during which full functionality is available. All content created with the product during the trial period includes a watermark. After activating the product license, you can re-save your content to remove the watermark.

Version Numbers
Version numbers for Deep Publish begin at release 3.0 in keeping with the Deep Exploration family of products.
The version number scheme is 1.2.3.4567 where:
1 = Major version indicator. This would be incremented for a major release.
2 = Minor release that indicates new feature release between major releases.
3 = Indicates a patch that includes fixes only.
4567 = Build number as an identification of the build that is released.
