Known Issues
Billboards reading backwards – in some situations, billboards will read backwards. The workaround is to make billboards single-sided.
Cross-section issue – Catia5 2008 CAD reader imports and creates a cross-section object. This object is in the wrong place and can cause Deep Exploration to crash when the node is collapsed.
Output Size Window has issues that will be resolved in the next release - Output size displayed in the title bar is incorrect
and camera angle is incorrect.
Colour Management Tool only works with *.jpg and *.tiff files at present.
Drawing files are not supported with our new 2008 Readers. They are supported with the separate CAD 2D Reader.
Installation
Installation whilst maintaining a version of Deep Exploration 5.0.x on the same machine
DE 5.6 installs into a separate folder by default. In addition, there are separate start menu entries for each. For DE 5.5 users, your product activation codes will be used, so there is no need to re-activate. Thumbnails however, will need to be re-generated as these are stored separate from existing.
Upgrading to Deep Exploration 5.6
When upgrading to Deep Exploration 5.6, you may either un-install and then install the latest build, or just upgrade by installing over the existing build.
Notes
Before installing Deep Exploration, we advise closing
all applications.
