Version 5.0.1.1419

These release notes describe and illustrate the features of this latest release of Deep Exploration CAD and Standard Editions. They address any issues not discussed in the Help reference or Readme documentation and they include information regarding installation.

New Features
  • JTPMI Module - Can now export most non-mesh objects (using Convert).
  • JTPMI Module - Polyline import/export now added.
  • JTPMI Module - Added import/export support for per-vertex colors.
  • Support for Inventor 11 files.

Fixed
  • Illustration Module now publishes to PDF without error.
  • Reloading all the files in the Media bin now functions correctly.
  • CATIAv5 assemblies with CATIAv4 parts which have different scales are now imported correctly.
  • Zooming models now functions correctly.
  • The default camera for Acrobat 7.07+ users is set to Rotate and for Acrobat 8.0 users it is set to Spin.

Known Issues
  • JTPMI Module: Scene exported to Fully Shattered JT creates defective files.
  • JTPMI Module: Import Metadata requires Import PMI to be enabled.
  • JTPMI Module: JT export reports missing DLLs when DE is out of memory.
  • JTPMI Module: Extra node is added to JT file.
  • JTPMI Module: Files cannot be saved to Japanese file directory.
  • JTPMI Module: Texture export not functioning correctly, not setting enough information.
  • JTPMI Module: Open functionality not supported: NURBS export (and thus selection highlighting export), bump maps, shaders, etc.

Installation

Before installing Deep Exploration, we advise closing all applications.

Help

The Help reference information is available from the Deep Exploration menu and by pressing F1 on your keyboard within Deep Exploration.

Product Versions

The version number scheme is 1.2.3.4567 where:

1 = Major version indicator. This would be incremented for a major release.
2 = Minor release that indicates new feature release between major releases.
3 = Indicates a patch that includes fixes only.

4567 = Build number as an identification of the build that is released.
