Known Issues
Cameras do not keep their settings once published
to PDF.
Animation of a mesh model is not working in PDF.
The movement of the scroll bar affects the position
of the model.
Animation 'End Option' controls affects 'Play
All Steps' button.
Step names cannot be changed in PDF docs.
Viewport refresh issue after publishing. This
is mainly an issue when you have callouts.
Acrobat crashes when a template contains copied
and pasted controls.
Render modes are not changed as per model views.
Render mode changes when changing model view
in Acrobat views control.
Render Control renames the Descriptions after
changing the Render modes in the Dialog.
UI: Drop down list hidden behind Annotation.
Adobe Acrobat Views set to vertices affects all
PMI data/text making it unreadable.
Cross-sections are not animated.
In selection mode you are now able to deselect parts using CTRL and shift keys.
PDF/U3D does not support Detailed View.
Teamwork markups do not handle large amounts
of text in the notes field, limit is 4000 Characters.
Acrobat Model Tree does not highlight when parts
of the 3D Model are selected.
Google SketchUp SKD does not support text and
text leader lines.
Unable to get the Adobe measurement tool to identify
holes. Model information seems to be lost when saving 3D PDF from JT.
ATI graphics cards can sometimes display a black
screen.
PMI in Pro/E, UG and SDRC, not all possible PMI
subtypes are yet supported.
When writing larger files (over 2MB) in Collada
format, resultant file may be missing geometry, it is advisable to break
into smaller pieces when saving.
When using the ATI graphics card, the application sometimes displays a black screen, this is a bug in the driver when using opengl render mode. Workaround is to avoid using opengl.
When exporting form Maya to RH format the following
options are not supported:
Procedural textures.
Layered textures and shaders.
3rd party shaders.
Area and volume lights.
Light decay.
Subdivision surfaces.
Lattice deformer.
Deformers animation.
Animated visibility.
Main features that are not supported in U3D/PDF:
Does not offer the same level of data compression
with RH format.
Does not support non-uniform texture scaling
and rotation.
Light attributes and orientation are not preserved.
Not all camera attributes are preserved. Targeted
camera information is lost.
Does not support opacity, material color, skin
and bone or ping pong animation.
Does not support PMI data tags and bill boarding.
Polygons can only be triangles. Quads are not
supported.
Does not support NURBS.
Not all material properties are preserved (such
as "specular level", "raytrace reflection" etc).
Only supports 3 types of textures: Diffuse,
Reflection and Opacity. All other texture types are not supported.
Does not support non-uniform scaling in animation.
Morph is not supported.
