In most manufacturing businesses, product information resides in diverse repositories throughout the enterprise. For example, CAD data is located in Vaults, Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. Part, supplier and pricing data relating to the product is usually found in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, manufacturing information is in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Sales and Marketing content can be found in Customer Relationship Management(CRM) systems. Finally, the created documents are stored in Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
